Il pr\u00e9side le lavage des bains d&rsquo;eau.<br \/>\nIci, dans le vodou originel africain, il n&rsquo;y a pas les concepts de paradis et d&rsquo;enfer. L\u00eagba (Eshu pour les anglophones) est en effet le dieu majeur le dieu des croisements, le dieu de la r\u00e9flexion; son r\u00f4le d&rsquo;interm\u00e9diaire avec l\u2019Invisible vient ensuite. Il forme avec la divinit\u00e9 Fa (ou Ifa) un couple porteur de la p\u00e9dagogie de la culture vodou.<\/p>\n<p>G\u00e9n\u00e9ralement on trouve de grandes terres cuites de cette effigie en pays Fon, et ces deux (couple\u00a0?) grands f\u00e9tiches en bois recouverts de bleu de lessive et macul\u00e9s de libations sont rares sur les autels vodou au B\u00e9nin.
