Son dessin hyperr\u00e9aliste, son lavis suintant d\u2019angoisse, ses mises en sc\u00e8ne \u00e0 la tension \u00e9tudi\u00e9e, ses personnages aux rictus terroris\u00e9s ont impressionn\u00e9 plusieurs g\u00e9n\u00e9rations de r\u00e9tines, de toutes origines. Artiste \u00ab\u00a0populaire\u00a0\u00bb par excellence, le dessinateur fran\u00e7ais \u00e9tait surnomm\u00e9 l\u2019<em>\u00ab\u00a0Alfred Hitchcock du dessin de fait divers\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, avec lui un certain type de journalisme sensationnel c\u00f4toyait l\u2019id\u00e9e que \u00ab\u00a0ceci est arriv\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de chez nous\u00a0\u00bb.
