Ici notre cavalier est roi, comme l\u2019indique sa couronne, et sa monture n\u2019est pas cheval mais \u00e9l\u00e9phant. Celui-ci, mythique, symbolise la puissance de celui qui le chevauche. Le personnage se tient droit, bras en avant, tient dans la main droite une lance. L\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9phant est stylis\u00e9, de formes cubistes et harmonieuses.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;usage de kaolin ou du moins, la pr\u00e9sence de patines blanches, est r\u00e9current dans l&rsquo;art Adan, et signifie une patine d\u2019adoration.<\/p>\n<p>Cette pi\u00e8ce fait partie d\u2019un ensemble de statues d\u2019un autel d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 Mamy Wata dans un couvent
